UFO's

So I'm reading this goofy story tonight about how obsessed the British are about UFOs. Sure there are plenty here in the states that are wacko about them too. But the Brits are far more advanced then us. So I'm reading and people are telling their stories about these strange lights flashing about the sky. Pretty much the same stuff ya hear about all the time.
Then it dawned on me. Like an epiphany if you will. These people are nuts. There were no spaceships. You know how I know? The Lights!!
Think about it. Why do they need lights? Sure our airplanes have lights. But we don't need them to fly. Those red an green lights and the flashing strobes aren't for the pilots to use to see where they are going. They're only there for other pilots to be able to see them.
So I ask. Why would an highly advanced intellectual species of interstellar and planetary travelers have need for running lights to avoid collisions from other aircraft? Answer - They wouldn't!!
They're guidance systems would be so advanced they would know where we are flying before we do. If they can make all these high speed streaking and stopping and flashing off in different directions and stuff. Surely they know how to keep a 747 from smacking into them without the need for running lights. Surely if they've traveled with others across galaxies they have a pretty good idea where the other ships are and would have no need for lights to see them. Also doubt they have much need for windows to look out of either. Lights on a UFO would only serve one purpose. For attention from us. So We can see them. Which has possibilities granted. But there are other ways to achieve that. If they are so advanced, a few blinky lights would kinda be below them. Ya I know, I saw the movie Close Encounters. I call serious bogus on the whole light show thing. In the movie they had been studying their abductions for decades. If they could build space craft to travel to other planets surely they could figure out how to say Hello without lights flashing a code.
Navigational running lights would be completely useless for an advanced intellectual being. I don't have and answer for what people think they have seen. (Though Attention Whore comes to mind). So does drugs and alcohol. But there is no reason why space aliens would NEED to put lights on their crafts.

Just saying

I Just Gotta Say

I don't get it. How does one equates Martin Lurther King, his beliefs, teachings and message, with the natural disaster of an earthquake in Haiti? While I think most reasonable people would agree that the earthquake that has struck Haiti is a tremendous tragedy. In respect to MLK?
In today's NY Daily News - Online. The Rev Al Sharpton talked of going to Haiti on Monday. OK, fine, not really, but. He was quoted to say,
"It would be the height of hypocrisy to talk about celebrating Dr. King and not deal with Haiti"
I don't see the connection.
The worlds outpouring of relief aid and support has been tremendous.
It is understandable that countries believe it is their duty to send officials to survey the on the ground issues that people face in the time of crisis.
Although I feel Hilary Clinton's visit will use too many of the already stretched thin resources available to haul her and her entourage around in safety an comfort. I understand how standards reason we must. Still, her report in the end will basically provide no more than we already know. Chaos, despair, destruction, need of supplies, etc. But if we don't send someone the negative backlash will be endless for months.
That said, Al Sharpton is preparing to head to Haiti Monday with his own entourage. My point about resources already stretched thin goes double for Sharpton. The reasons of why there are issues at the airport are many. No room for all the aircraft, not enough ground crews to effectively off load supplies, not enough vehicles to move supplies out, broken roadway systems to route supplies and along with those issues there isn't enough fuel to turn the aircraft around to get them out of the way.
But hey Sharpton feels it's necessary for him to add his required space to an already tight situation. It's his choice and he is free to make it.
I just don't get why he sees it as hypocritical in regards to MLK if he stays home out of the way. Instead of spending the money to go there. Send it to the Red Cross.
